Marijuana Intervention Program

MIBPMIP protocol is designed for individuals who have experienced consequences from marijuana use. This is a structured 12-week program consisting of weekly ninety-minute group sessions where participants complete homework between each session. Assignments are presented weekly to the group; the facilitator passes the client to their next module, or has the client redo the homework based on objective criteria. The program can help clients recognize and manage marijuana urges, and during the process, are presented with the history of marijuana, the role media plays, the addiction cycle, recovery versus abstinence and relapse prevention tools.
Our hope is that by staying clean and sober through the duration of the program, participants will have the opportunity to experience a difference in their lives. Genesis provides support for early abstinence and offers a safe place to process thoughts, beliefs, and emotions, as well as an environment conducive to practicing new skills.
